The Power of Visualization

“THAT A MAN CAN CHANGE HIMSELF, IMPROVE HIMSELF, RE-CREATE HIMSELF, CONTROL HIS ENVIRONMENT, AND MASTER HIS OWN DESTINY IS THE CONCLUSION OF EVERY MIND WHO IS WIDE-AWAKE TO THE POWER OF RIGHT THOUGHT IN CONSTRUCTIVE ACTION.” ~ CHRISTIAN D. LARSON

I believe in the power of thought and the law of attraction. In recent years, I have come to learn that belief and practice are not one in the same.

The “Law of Attraction” is the philosophy that the energy of our thoughts attracts the same energy. Positive thoughts attract positive results. For those who prefer scientific evidence, please feel free to explore the work of Dr. Bruce Lipton. He is known for linking science and spirit and has proven that the body has a direct response to the mind, specifically thought.

Consciousness is responsible for our life experiences, including our biological functioning.

Visualization is the process of making a mental image of what you want in your life. Visualization is a practice and should be done repeatedly. The more you visualize, the more you draw that vision to you. It is mental exercise. A workout for your neurons.

For example, you want to own a home. Visualize your home: the surrounding land, the flowers and trees planted, the color of the house, the color of the front door. Visualize the curtains blowing in the breeze. Visualize the day the home becomes your home and see the person smiling at you and congratulating you as they hand you the keys. Visualize pulling into the driveway and how you feel knowing this is your home. Visualize the joy you feel when you step inside; the peace you feel when you spend the first night. Visualize meals and memories made in the home.

Visualize every detail and do it repeatedly.

This triggers a neural response that motivates you to identify opportunities to create this reality. Your mind has practiced for this moment.

Visualizing can also be applied to our health and well-being. The cells in your body work the same; they attract the materials needed to re-create in perfect form. Empower your cells through visualization of a whole and perfect state of being.

What better way to impact change in your life than to visualize and, ultimately, manifest your desires?

Adding visualization to your routine is something you can start immediately.

Coach’s Corner:

  1. Follow Your Joy! Visualize what brings you excitement. Be intentional when deciding what you visualize first.

  2. Keep in mind the fire in your belly may sit beyond the goal. Perhaps it’s what your life is like because of the goal. For example, it’s not the actual home you visualize, but the life you are living in the home.

  3. You are limitless; visualize as if all that is needed is available.

  4. Embrace the quiet. In meditation and visualization, learning to be completely still is empowering.

  5. Close your eyes.

  6. Breathe to center yourself.

  7. Begin by visualizing the smallest detail. Expand those details with each visualization session.

  8. Visualization can be done in short sessions several times per day.

  9. Use positive affirmations repeatedly in addition to visualizing. Some examples include:

    • “Every cell in my body is always in it’s natural state of well-being”.

    • “I am strong and powerful”.

    • “I am open to receive all that has been prepared for me”.

    • “I am healthy, and my body is in perfect harmony”.

    • “I deserve …”.

The mind doesn’t differentiate thought from reality.
You are truly capable of attracting everything you desire.
